Our Story
craft & gather opened in 2017 from a shared vision between longtime industry veterans and friends darrin sander and keith spragg, who believed spokane valley deserved a place where great food, local craft drinks, and genuine hospitality could come together.
the two were looking into the idea of doing a place together when keith, visiting family back home, came across an old clubhouse at the shuttered painted hills golf course. the building wasn’t designed for a restaurant—but it had character and potential. a call to darrin turned the idea into a partnership, and craft & gather was born.
built with a shoestring budget and a lot of sweat equity, the space has grown year after year—patios, lawns, and thoughtful upgrades shaped by the people who gather here. today, craft & gather reflects its community: a place to connect, celebrate, and feel at home.
